Welcome! If you are here, something in your life is causing you pain and you have the courage to ask for help. It might feel like your brain doesn’t stop thinking and you have to work so hard to make “the right choice”. You might feel so isolated and stuck, unsure of how to break the cycle, unsure of how to create positive, sustaining change. There might be days when it feels like motivation is nowhere to be found and other days when you feel so tense, you don’t know where to begin.
Therapy works
When working with me, I will create a safe, judgment-free space for us to drive deep into the root of your suffering is so we can untangle those pesky issues that are bringing your life down. Let’s start making lasting changes that will improve your life!
I have been practicing therapy for over 8 years and my passion in life is helping others heal. My approach to therapy is to really get to know you, have a clear understanding of how you see the world and understand what led you to your way of thinking (Is that you or your mom talking?)
I bring warmth, empathy, and a bit of humor into the therapy room.
The methods I lean on are CBT, Mindfulness and psychodynamic therapy. At the core of all these methods is a simple truth: the mind is a powerful thing and let’s use that power for good.
I know reaching out to a new therapist can feel a bit nerve-racking. Here are somethings to expect when you reach out to me:
1) I want to hear about you! Tell me why you are needing therapy right now; what’s happening in your life?
2) I will explain how I can help and we can see if we are a good fit.
3) This is a judgment free zone! No matter the issue, reaching out for help is something to be honored, not judged.
